My approach
I believe that performance starts with the person, not just the athlete. I take a client-centred and context driven approach, meaning that I work with athletes, coaches and teams to explore what truly matters to them, helping them develop skills that support both performance and well-being.
We don’t exist in a vacuum - performance is influenced by personal relationships, and the environment around us. This is why I take a an holistic approach, considering not only the athlete but also the role of coaches, teammates, family, and support networks in shaping success
When we prioritise the person, performance naturally follows. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor my work to for the individuals, and teams unique goals, values, and challenges.
I Integrate evidence-based psychological Frameworks including:
Behavioural Change Models: understanding how habits, routines, and mindset shifts lead to sustainable growth
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): helping athletes develop psychological flexibility, and focus on values-driven behaviour
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT): engaging self-compassion, emotional regulation, and resilience in the face of set-backs
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT): challenging unhelpful beliefs that can limit performance and replacing them with more adaptive thinking patterns
